What Is the Guildmaster Award?
The Guildmaster Award is an annual honor granted to members of GuildQuality—a customer satisfaction surveying and performance reporting system for quality-minded service providers in the home remodeling and construction industries.
GuildQuality is utilized by over 15,000 contractors in the United States and Canada. However, only a few contractors meet the stringent requirements to be selected as recipients of the Guildmaster Award.
Winners are categorized into the following groups:
- New home builders
- Remodelers
- Replacement contractors
- Restoration contractors
- Specialty contractors

What Are the Qualifications to Win the Guildmaster Award?
To be considered for this award, contractors must meet the following criteria.
GuildQuality Member
Companies must be a member of the GuildQuality network for an entire year before the time frame when the winners are announced.
For instance, 2021 award recipients have been GuildQuality members since January 1st, 2020, or longer. The winners were announced in April 2021 after GuildQuality evaluated customer data from January 1st, 2020, to March 31st, 2021.
Recommendation Rate
The most important requirement to receive the Guildmaster Award is a recommendation rate on GuildQuality’s platform of at least 90 percent. For reference, the average customer recommendation rate is only 70 percent.
Recipients of the Guildmaster Award can also receive the following levels of distinction for exceptional recommendation rates:
- Guildmaster with Distinction: 95 percent to 97.9 percent
- Guildmaster with Highest Distinction: 98 percent to 100 percent

Survey Responses
Finally, each company must have at least 20 completed survey responses sent to GuildQuality to qualify for the award. These responses can be from previous years or the current year.
